2023 Completed Projects

In 2023 Insight Engineering completed the following projects:

• Turning data into actionable information through shop-floor digitisation, integration of 5 OEM’s control systems into a common visualisation platform for a major food producer.
• QA system enhancements and optimisation for a manufacturer of future-fibres products. Back shift technical coverage including robotic fault recovery during the production ramp of a major production line.
• Various Water and Wastewater upgrade projects including Arc Flash Assessments for a regional water authority servicing 250,000 people in Victoria. Specialised electrical design to relevant client and Australian Standards. Switchboard and Motor Control Centre Design, supplier liaison, Factory Acceptance Test and Installation coordination.
• The team, engaged by a different water authority, finalised Risk Assessments, Functional Safety Design and Engineering, as well as Verification & Validation for a sizable rural water authority.
• Completion of SCADA and PLC Programming, safety circuit design, network configuration for a quarry in Tasmania.
• A fly-in, fly-out position providing project engineering and management services on-site for a major mining operation located in South Australia.
• Embedded Responsible Electrical Engineer services for an ASX listed manufacturer and distribution of fertilizers, explosives, and chemicals, responsible for High Voltage and safety reviews.
• Hazardous Area Assessments and design services are now in demand across various sites in Australia, ranging from distilleries to government agencies.
• Detailed NABERS and Energy Assessments and Audits were conducted in Geelong and Melbourne to aid clients in meeting their rating prerequisites for leasing properties to government agencies. This service was provided to multiple clients.
• Journeyed to Adelaide to finalise a comprehensive booking system, integrate ERP, implement automatic blend control, enable CCTV visualization on tablets, and generate dispatch tickets for a major fertilizer distributor.
• Insight Engineering took the lead in enhancing PLC and SCADA programming, commissioning, and providing innovation in the chiller, cutting rooms, freezers, and conveyors for a meat processing factory in regional Victoria.
• SCADA and PLC upgrades to a national woodchip manufacturer.
• SCADA and MES roll-out of OEE metrics for an international beverage-closure manufacturer.
• Electrical drafting for a large Australian meat producer.
• Electrical design, PLC and SCADA programming, site installation supervision and commissioning for a new process facility in QLD.
• This year, Insight Engineering welcomed a dynamic new client and successfully carried out IIoT and SCADA upgrades for a national paint manufacturer.
• At a different quarry, situated on the opposite side of Melbourne, the team developed a dewatering system SCADA utilising Ignition
• Designing and developing a number of new hoppers for the bulk shipping sector.
• An exciting project where the team was sent to Eastern Victoria to assist with the Water Demineralisation Project.
• MES development and optimisation for food manufacturers in Victoria and South Australia.
• Automation and Control System upgrades and optimisation for a number of malted barley facilities in Victoria, WA and NSW.
